"The recipe just didn’t make enough sense to follow"
I tried making a Tastemade recipe last night, it was more frustrating than helpful. The steps were vague, and a few important details seemed to be missing. The timing also didn’t line up with what was actually happening in the pan, which made it hard to know if I was doing something wrong or if the recipe was off. I don’t mind improvising a little, but a recipe should at least give you enough clear guidance to make a decent meal. I ended up guessing way too much, and dinner turned out badly. I probably won’t use it again.

"The videos have been looking rough lately"
I don’t mean to be rude, but the videos lately just feel kind of sloppy. The lighting is off in a lot of spots, and some of the cuts are really awkward. It’s a bit frustrating because it makes everything look less professional than it should.

"App keeps freezing and support feels robotic"
The app keeps freezing on me, and videos just sit there buffering forever. It’s really frustrating because it also crashes almost every time I try to use it. I reached out for help, but the email replies felt like they were written by robots and didn’t really address the problem.

"Didn’t live up to what I expected for the price"
I gave Tastemade a try for a bit, but it just didn’t feel like it matched what I expected from a paid subscription. For the price, I figured there would be more fresh content or something that felt a little more exclusive, but a lot of it seemed like stuff I could find elsewhere easily. After a while, I couldn’t really justify paying for it every month, so canceling felt like the right call.

"Wish there were more recipe options"
I was hoping there’d be a lot more variety, but after a while it started feeling like the same types of meals on repeat. If you’re looking for easy weeknight dinners or a mix of different cuisines, the choices feel limited. I got bored quicker than I expected, especially compared to.....

"Free trial was frustrating to cancel"
I signed up for the free trial thinking I’d have time to decide, but canceling it turned into a real hassle. I tried to cancel before the trial ended, but it didn’t go through in time and I ended up getting charged anyway. it left me feeling upset and disappointed.

Maybe I missed something or landed on the wrong page, but the pricing didn’t feel super clear before I signed up. I had to click around more than I expected just to figure out what I’d actually be charged. I’m not saying it was hidden on purpose, but I would’ve preferred the billing details to be more upfront.

"Feels like the recipes never get refreshed"
I used to open Tastemade when I needed quick dinner ideas, but lately it feels like I’m scrolling through the same recycled recipes over and over. A lot of the videos don’t feel current anymore, and some of the food trends look like they were popular years ago and just never got swapped out.
What makes it more frustrating is that it has that automated, set-it-and-forget-it vibe, like the site is just pushing old content because some system decided it’s good enough. I get enough of that from apps and feeds already. For a food site, I expected fresh ideas and a little more care, but right now it doesn’t really give me a reason to keep coming back.

I don’t know what happened, but the content feels super boring now. It’s like the same recycled videos keep popping up over and over, just slightly edited so they can slip through the policy loopholes and still get promoted. Feels lazy and frustrating to scroll through.

"I can never log in"

I was just trying to look up a simple recipe, but the website kept making it harder than it needed to be. The pages were slow to load, videos kept popping up, and searching or going back without losing my place was just annoying. The food might be great, but the site made me give up quickly.

"Streaming cuts out way too often"
